A pregnancy is said to be high risk, when there are potential complications that could affect mother or baby or both.
WHAT IS CONSIDERED HIGH RISK PREGNANCY
-AGE-
Pregnant women under 17 or more than 35 yrs of age group are considered high risk
PREVIOUS HISTORY
Having history of complicated pregnancy like preterm labor pain, pregnancy induced hypertension, diabetes, child with birth defect considered high risk pregnancy.
